Age Levels

5 & Under, 6-7 (no solos)	8-10, 11-13	14-15, 16-18	19 & Up

All ages are as of January 1st. The average age determines the age range. Add the ages of all dancers and divide by the number of dancers. If the average ends in .5 or above, round DOWN. All groups that include dancers of different age divisions will compete no more than one age division younger than the oldest dancer, regardless of average age. You cannot compete against yourself. No 50% rule.

19 & over rule: any duet/trio, small or large groups that has any dancer 19 & over, they must compete in the Senior Division. This rule applies to even one dancer in a routine who is 19 or over.

Entry Fees and Time Limits

Solo	$75.00(limit 2)	3:00 Max
Duet/Trio	$40.00 per person	3:00 Max
Small Groups	$30.00 all ages	4:00 Max (no extended time allowed)
Large Groups	$28.00 all ages	4:00 Max (extended time 5:00 max = $3.00 extra per person)

Deduction of 1 point for every 10 seconds over the time limit.

All entries must be postmarked 30 days prior to the competition date.

A 5% discount will be given if received 45 days prior to competition.

Entries are accepted on a first-come first-served basis. Entries are not considered received unless full payment and a list of all participants' names and birthdates are included.

Only (1) check from each studio will be accepted. A credit card can be used by calling the office with a $5.00 handling charge added. Any add-on's after deadline will incur a $10.00 late fee per entry.

Fabulous Talent Productions, LLC has the right to refuse entries once time schedule is set.

No refunds after the closing date.

Competition Levels

Recreational - Includes dancers that train less than 2 hrs. a week or for the beginner competitor.

Competitive - Includes dancers that train more than 3 hrs. a week and some competition experience.

Teachers, please use your best judgement when selecting levels of dance! A solo cannot perform in different levels. When performing in groups with mixed levels, they must be more than 50% of respective levels. Judges can move recreational performers to competitive level if performer is of that level.

Music

Each studio must furnish their own music for each entry on a good quality individual CD which only contains one song properly labeled with contestant # and name of song. All CD's must be turned in when you arrive at competition. Please bring a back-up CD.

Schedule

Once entries are received you will receive an email or info packet mailed one week prior to competition. All performers should be prepared to perform 1 hr. ahead of schedule. All performers will perform in order unless Director gives special permission for any change in line-up. Solos could perform on Sat. if Sunday time schedule is filled. If sufficient entries are not met, Fabulous Talent Productions, LLC has the right to cancel event.

Judging & Awards

Fabulous Talent Productions, LLC / "For Tappers Only" guarantees that all dancers will be judged by well-qualified and experienced tap judges. All participants, teachers, and parents /guardians agree that all scores and decisions are final. All dancers will receive a "Performance Award". Also 1st-5th awards will be given out. You must receive a pre-determined score to receive 1st if you are the only one in your category.

Special Awards

Judges will give out special awards for dancers. Choreography awards will also be given. Overall High Scores will be given for each division; Mini’s, Juniors, Teens, & Seniors. Both levels will be received awards for Overalls.

Dancers, parents/guardians give their permission to Fabulous Talent Productions, LLC/”For Tappers Only” to use their photographs and/or videos in connection with advertising, TV, website and/or news coverage of our competitions. Fabulous Talent Productions, LLC/”For Tappers Only” or the hosting facilities are NOT responsible for personal injury or property loss to contestants or spectators.

For safety reasons, no form of liquid, gel, aerosol, fire, or glitter may be used. No dangerous props are to be used. No large props or scenery allowed (if in question please call the office). Failure to follow these safety precautions may result in disqualification. No video or flash photography are allowed in performance room or dressing rooms. All choreography, costumes and music deemed inappropriate for family viewing may be considered for disqualification by either the judges or Director.
